How to Speak Like a Spaniard

In the U.S., you were probably taught “Latin American” Spanish. Most teachers teach Latin American Spanish simply because they’ve had more contact with Latin Americans than with Spaniards and picked up the Latin American accent and usage. For the most part, other than accent and usage, there’s really no difference between the Spanish spoken in Spain and the Spanish spoken in Latin America.

So, you’ll have no problem communicating with Spaniards regardless of the accent you learned in high school or college. However, if you want to impress the Spaniards and have them saying “Wow! I thought you were a local!”, here are a few tips.
